The Nova Craft Trapper 12 is a lovely canoe for a day out fishing on lakes and creeks. Its shallow arch hull design gives the canoe great primary and secondary stability making this an ideal platform for fishing on flat water. Using your best Indian strokes you can creep up on your prey as this is a quiet boat which does not compromise on speed. The Trapper combines the enjoyment of a stable fishing platform with the benefits of a small and light craft for portaging into small productive and secluded lakes. With an unladen weight of just 17.2kg car topping and portaging are easy for one person however with a total load capacity of 223kg it can still take plenty of gear.
Whilst being a great fishing platform it also makes a great solo explorer with plenty of room to load up for a week of river and lake tripping. The Trapper 12 has reassuring amounts of primary and secondary stability, often a feature looked for in a canoe by beginners and experienced solo paddlers alike. It is a great canoe to use for improving your 'J' stroke and can also be used with a double blade paddle.
Constructed from the lightweight and durable TuffStuff it can stand up to all the abuse of white water running.
