The Keewaydin models from Swift Canoes have been designed by renowned canoe designer David Yost, and are designed for calmer water paddling (as opposed to the more manoeuvrable Prospectors). The sleek lines of the Keewaydin cut nicely through the water, and are ideal for cruising on sheltered waters, but paddlers still find them Ok to paddle into head-winds and small chop. The hull shape on a Keywaydin has been designed to accelerate quickly and glide efficiently in a straight-line, perfectly designed to cover distances and track well with minimal effort.
The Keywadin 17 is ideal for tandem paddlers wanting to cover longer distances such as Scottish Lochs, and wishing to carry multiday kit for longer wilderness adventures. Paddlers who wish to paddle the Keywadin solo, or looking for a bit more manoeuvrability Swift offer the Keywaydin as a 3 seater combi-canoe and a shorter 16ft version.
